CHRISTMAS

Christmas is coming soon, that's why we consider these activities for the kids because they like it a lot this season.

The song that we have chosen is this:

The snowman

It was nearly Christmas. Katie woke up and found that the world was white and magical.
- Snow,she shouted, snow for Christmas.
She ran outside and danced in the snow. Her brother Eddie came out too.
They made a big round snowball and a small one. They put them together and made a huge snowman. On Christmas Eve they looked at the snowman. He waved at them. He was alive!
Hello, he said, it’s Christmas. Would you like a present?
Yes please! The snowman waved his arms. Silver crystal snowflakes filled the sky. It was so beautiful.
We must give you a present too, said Katie. They gave the snowman a carrot for a nose, a scarf for his neck, and a hat for his head.
Happy Christmas! they said.
The snow stopped and the sun came out. The snowman started to melt.
Goodbye, he said. Build me again next year!


ACTIVITIES

Keeping in mind that the children like christmas a lot, they are going to do these activities: 

  • Doing ornaments
    • Baubles: We need polystyrene balls, painting colors, stickers, brillantine... We give the children polystyrene balls and they have to decorated them by painting with different colours, stickers or glitter.
    • Presents: We need cardboard boxes, different coloured paints, stickers, glitter... We are going to give a cardboard box to each child and they can to decorated as they wish.
  • Decorate christmas tree: They can put the decorations that they have made onto the Christmas tree.
  • Christmas postcard: We have different pictures related to Christmas and they can to choose one of them and paint it. Then they can take the postcard home with them.



  • Santa Claus: We have a big picture of Santa and the children can paint it as they wish. Then we will stick it onto the classroom wall.

COLORS AND SHAPES

The shapes and colors that we are going to learn are these:



According to our timetable, when it is time to read a book or sing a song, we are going to read this book or sing this song depending on the day.

Now we are going to do some different activities:






  • Connect the shapes with the pictures: the children have a paper with shapes, names and their pictures and then they have to connect the name with the picture.











  • Shapes and colors twister: 




In this activity the children and teachers will participate. The teacher's role is to say to the children the shape and color and then he/she has to go to that shape and color.











BODY PARTS

In this week, we are going to learn the body parts. Our timetable will be the same but the activities will be about body parts.

Firstly, we have time to sing a song or read a book so, this is the song and the story that we are going to tell them.

1. They have to cut the parts of the face and then stick them in the face. For example: We cut the nose and then we stick it in the correct place.

FALL AND HALLOWEEN

As now comes the change of season and halloween, our timetable isn't going to change, but the activities will be based around the season.

When we read a book it is going to be about autumn or halloween, for example; the first and second week will be about autumn and the third and fourth week about halloween.

In the first and second weeks the book will be about autumn:

In the third and fourth weeks the book will be about halloween:



















When we tell the story, we will show them pictures related to it.

In the activities time; we will go to the park to take a different leaf. Then in class we paint the leaf and with this other paper.




Another activity is paint a picture related autumn or halloween.


We take a large piece of paper and paint a big tree without leaves and then the kids paint leaves with their hands.


In halloween time, do a witch hat.











When we finish the witch hat, we are going to do her dress with black plastic bag and we decorated it.

REFLECTION



The parts of the project we liked the most are doing the witch costume and go to the park to take leaves to paint whit them. With this project, we learn the vocabulary about fall and halloween. Also we learn a different method to use the imagination.

We do the project between all of us, each os us come with different ideas and then we put in together in the project.

The sources we have used are: internet to find information (pictures, vocabulary...), our questions resolves the teacher and the young boy form England.

From 8:00am to 9:00am:

If there are any children who don´'t eat breakfast at home, we have facilities to provide it. For example: milk and cookies or baby food.

Then, when all pupils come to school, we sing the welcome song.

9:00am to 9:30am:

When we finish the welcome song, it is wash time to allow the pupils to go to the toilet and then wash their hands.

9:30am to 10:30am:

Now it´s time for the teacher to read a book or manual arts time (paint or draw, play with clay...).


Our stories are season orientated. For example, in halloween, a halloween story, in carnival about costumes... We change the story weekly.

10:30am to 11:00am:

In snack time we give the pupils cookies or season fruits. 

11:00am to 12:00am:

After the snack time, they go to toilet and wash the hands.

Then, we go to playground to play free.

Before class restarts, we have a second wash time.

12:00pm to 13:00pm:

In this time we are going to do different activities, for example: numbers, colors, vowels, object names...  Things change weekly.


Right now, is time to lunch. The families have different options: their child can have lunch in class or go home to have lunch, have a nap, or only have lunch.

13:00pm to 14:30pm:

In this period, it is lunch time in class. The families bring the lunch from home and we have facilities to provide warm food.

After lunch, is time to go to toilet.

14:30pm to 15:45pm:

It's nap time, some kids need to sleep and others will be playing.


Before the activities we have 15 minutes to go to the toilet.

15:45pm to 17:30pm:

In this period, we do different activities, as for example: we can go to the street to look at the landscape, then they have to draw what they liked most.

When we finish, we are going to sing a goodbye song.

INTRODUCTION

Hello!

We are ZuriƱe, Sara, Irune and Oihana and we are going to be OISZ school's teachers.




This project is about different preschool activities based on routines.

Near the routines can be different things or activities, for example: halloween, christmas, colors, seasons (autumn, summer...)...

Our school is for two years kids, and we have ten children. The school timetable is from 8:00am to 18:00pm.
